Vegan Chocolate Chips

These vegan chocolate chip cookies are made with simple ingredients and are easy to make. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with melty chocolate chips in every bite.

  • Mixing bowl

  • Electric mixer

  • Baking sheet

  • Parchment paper


  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips


Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened vegan butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract using an electric mixer.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the vegan chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.


Make sure the vegan butter is softened to room temperature before using. If you want the cookies to be even more chocolatey, add extra chocolate chips to the batter.
